INTRODUCTION:

Tumaini community services organization (TCSO) is an NGO which was founded by The Anglican Church of Tanzania – Diocese of Southern Highlands (ACT-DSH) as part of compliance due to the reviewed NGO policy and NGO Act No. 24 of 2002. It was registered

on 15th August, 2019 with registration number 00NGO/R/0478. TCSO has its headquarters at Uzunguni area in Mbeya CC nearRegional Commissioner’s Office and Stanbic bank. It also has program offices in Mbeya DC, MbeyaCC, Mbarali DC and Kyela DC.

Tumaini Community Services Organization (TCSO) is a Non-Profit Organization enhancing wellbeing through spiritual and ministry services covering health, economic, environment, agriculture, education, water, and sanitation. TCSO envision a community that enjoys quality life and is free from diseases and poverty and committed to provide services to the people in need and advocate for justice in social structure.

For FY24, TCSO in collaboration with MOHCDGEC and PORALG under the support of PEPFAR through HJFMRI/WRP-T and Pact Tanzania, will implement the HIV and AIDS Prevention to AGY and OVC through DREAMS programs and ACHIEVE Project. ACHIEVE Project will be implemented in Mbeya DC, Mbeya CC, Mbarali DC, Kyela DC, Rungwe DC, Busokelo DC, and Chunya DC.:


ACHIEVE PROJECT

Adolescents and Children HIV Incidence Reduction Empowerment and Virus Elimination (ACHIEVE) is a five-year project funded by USAID as a global effort to reduce HIV incidences among children and adolescents. The project is implemented under PACT Tanzania. ACHIEVE consortium works with USAID's mission, national governments, and existing response partners to identify gaps in HIV prevention and treatment programming among targeted populations. ACHIEVE project will support the Government of Tanzania to control the HIV epidemic by targeting orphans and vulnerablechildren (OVC). In orderto accomplishitsmission, TCSO through ACHIEVE calls for the recruitment of a motivated individual that will work towards achieving the objectives of ACHIEVE programs.


JOB POSITION: Case Management Coordinator (position 4) 

Reporting: To the Case Management Officer (CMO) 

Locations: Kyela DC and Mbarali DC 


Roles&Responsibilities:

i. Supervise Community Case Workers (CCWs) and provide continuous mentoring and support to ensurethedelivery ofhigh-quality case managementservices.

ii. Disseminate and ensure adherence to case management, child protection, referral and linkages, parenting, M&E guidance, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and other job aids that facilitate holistic case management at the household/community levels.

iii. EnsurecasemanagementservicesdeliveredaddresstheholisticneedsofOVCandcaregiv ersincludinghealth, nutrition, education, protection, livelihoods, and psycho-social well-being.

iv. Conduct quality step down training for CCWs and facilitate monthly meetings in the

field to introduce new topics, improve quality, and reinforce guidelines and

procedures.

v. Ensure CCWs complete required case management forms and case filing system is

well-maintained

vi. Work in partnership with local government authorities as appropriate, including but

not limited to District Executive Directors, Council Health Management Teams,

District Social Welfare Officers, and ward-level officials.

vii. Create community linkages for broader community engagement of youth and care

givers in case management, child protection, parenting, etc.

viii. Assist in mapping existing community cadres (Community Health Workers, Home-

Based Care Workers, Para-Social Workers, etc.) in communities and assist government official store recruit and select CCWs for the National Integrated Case Management Training for CCWs.

ix. Ensure that all CCWs are oriented in the Child Protection Policy and Code of Conduct; take all cases of child abuse seriously and follow national protocols to ensure timely reporting.

x. Ensure CCWs are coordinating with local structures including health facilities and Child Protection Committees (formerly known as Most Vulnerable Children’s Committees).

xi. Assist in the development of a service directory for social services (in coordination with the Health and HIV services Officer) in implementation areas; update the directory at least once a year.

xii. Submit timely updates to the Case Management Officer for inclusion in the quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports.

xiii. Document lessons learned and best practices for experience sharing and replication.

xiv. Perform any other relevant duties as assigned by the Case Management Officer.

Minimum required Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Education:


Bachelor's Degree in Community Development or Social Sciences from a recognized institution

Experience:

 At least two (2) years’ experience in a field position with an organization in public health or OVC programming.

 Experience in Home Based Care (HBC), National Integrated Case Management Systems (NICMS), PEPFAR OVC/MVC differentiated care of services, etc. Is preferred.

 Experienced with PEPFAR3.0 funded project in Tanzania.

 Experience implementing program and donor regulations, systems, and procedures.

 Experience in an Appreciative Inquiry (AI) approach in development and social work.

Skills:

 Strong M&E skills and experience in strategic information

 Excellent written and oral communication skills in Swahili and English including

excellent training

 Skills in working with adult learners, particularly at the community level.

 Able and willing to work flexible hours as needed without constant or close

supervision

 Demonstrate leadership and team-building skills.

 Diplomacy and negotiation skills that demonstrate t h e ability to collaborate a n d

coordinate with the arrangement of Stakeholders and complex priorities.
